Toy Museum, Valletta
Showcased on three floors are toys from the 1950’s onward. Of particular
interest is a fine collection of Corgy, Dinky and Matchbox cars.
Playmobil Funpark, Hal Far
Playmobil, the makers of the round-headed, pye-eyed
characters have one of the largest manufacturing units here. You can view the
full range and young children can let loose in the small play park. Ideal place
to visit if you are in the vicinity, and the kids will love it.
Mediterraneo Marine Park, Bahar ic-Cahaq
A great way for adults and children to
learn more through entertainment about the marine world and its inhabitants and
also enjoy a spectacular show by the Black Sea Dolphins and a fun packed
performance by the Sea Lions.
There
are two exciting programmes available at the park: ‘Swimming with the
Dolphins’ and the popular ‘Interactive Program’ both are
opportunities not to be missed.
Splash & Fun Park, Bahar
ic-Cahaq
The Splash and Fun park features
four-part water chutes, a large whirlpool where adults can relax and unwind
whilst the children can also be entertained with bumping boats, a kiddies
motorcycle track and scooters.
Park of Friendship, Marsascala
The Park of Friendship is a charity operation. Set in splendid grounds the
park includes a large indoor pool and a small animal park which includes
monkeys, birds, reptiles and other small animals.
Birkirkara Railway Station and Exhibition, Attard
Summon a wave of nostalgia with a visit
to the remnants of Malta’s 11km stream railway line. It was bought from the Isle
of Wight and operated from 1883 until 1931. There is also a children’s
playground on site. Enthusiasts can also see the Malta Railway Exhibition, this is a private exhibition by an enthusiast who
scratch-built models, in gauge, of Malta’s railways stations.
Ghadira Nature Reserve, Mellieha
The Ghadira Nature Reserve covers an area of about six hectares and occupies the
floodplain between two ridges. More than 200 species of birds have been recorded
at the reserve and many winter here.
Ten Pin Bowling and Cinema,
St. Julian's/St. George's
Located close to each other. Here you will
definitely find plenty to do for the kids, teenagers and basically anybody
seeking an alternative to beaches and churches. The bowling alley is superb, computerised
and special children lanes are available. If you want to catch up on the
latest blockbusters you have 13 cinema screens to choose from.
Sweethaven/Popeye Village, Limits of
Mellieha
This is the actual set that was used for the filming
of the 1980’s ‘Popeye’ which starred Robin Williams. You can wonder around
the authentic wooden village in and out of – The School House, The Bakery, The
Cobbler Shop, The Post Office, The Tailor and many, many more….Also included
in your visit to the village is a short film about the making of Sweethaven,
animation shows and a boat ride (summer only).
Underwater Safari, St. Paul's
Bay
View the islands attractions from a completely different perspective!
Join Captain Morgan's sensational Underwater Safari for an adventure that
will take you through creeks, amongst fauna and marine life. You will also
view shipwrecks from the observation keel and there is a commentary as you
